Working in fashion involves clocking up a lot of air miles and crossing a lot of timezones. Ros Milani Gallieni has spent her whole career in the industry – working for years with Giorgio Armani and Anouska Hempel.
“I’ve had the same therapist for acupuncture and homeopathy for a long time” Ros says. She has a sound belief in homeopathy and explains it’s all about the individual’s life choice: “It truly works for a lot of people, so I asked him before one particularly demanding trip to L.A. if there was anything he could give me for jet lag. He made up a mix of Arnica montana, Bellis perennis, Cocculus, Gelsemium and petroleum and it was a revelation, it really worked.” Milani Gallieni had batches made up and began giving them to friends. Positive feedback gave birth to a business idea: Jet Candy.
Many repeat customers are time-poor, travel-weary individuals at the top of their game. “Thomas Hedman, the film distributor, tells me it’s the only jet lag remedy that’s ever worked for him,” she says. “Pam Bristow, who’s an international brand consultant and luxury CMO, will not travel without it. She says it gives her back her ‘best self’. Then, there’s interior designer Michael Reeves who travels constantly to China. He’s a total convert and he told me he has never tried anything so effective. He says Jet Candy is incredible.”
